Forklift Guide Rail

The rail guide mechanically controls the trajectory of a forklift within a storage aisle. Guidance is accomplished by equipment-mounted polyurethane guide rollers that roll against rigid steel guide rails. rail guidance is available on trucks that store and retrieve unit loads at right angles to the direction of travel and on orderpicker equipment.

The guide rail is typically installed on both sides of a storage aisle. Steel guide rails are safely lagged to the floor for most pallet rack systems or attached to the rack structure for most cantilever racks. Smooth vehicle entry and exit from the guided aisle is assisted by mechanical aisle entrances
